Growing up I was never much of a card player so I didn’t have the chance to really develop and practice my poker face and that has, on more than one occasion, hampered my ability to successfully. Four of a kind, seven thru tens, split unless you have an ace or better to play in the low hand. Four of a kind face cards, Aces, Kings, Queens, or Jacks, always split, unless you have another pair to play in the low hand. You have to load up on caffeine whenever you want to be social. This will deter your co-workers or classmates from asking if you’re alright or if you’re having a bad day. The best poker faces happen when you know what yours looks like. Study your face in a mirror and burn into your brain what you look like when your face looks calm and neutral. That look would be.
A poker face is one that shows no emotion. No joy at receiving a tremendous hand. No sadness when picking up a dreadful hand. Otherwise, the other players will know what kind of hand the player has, and fold or raise accordingly. If the player wants to win at poker, developing a poker face is mandatory.
If players smile, or even excessively move their bodies to express joy when they get a great hand, chances are they won’t be winning that day.

How does a player develop a poker face that reveals no emotions whatsoever? After all, human beings, alone among living creatures, have expressive facial features that can reveal exactly what they are feeling.
To develop a poker face, it is necessary for poker players to practice suppressing their emotions in front of a mirror, or at least to disguise them. While players must play ethically and never cheat, the key to successful poker playing can rely on good acting. Poker players must not show their true emotions. Why would anyone drop money into a pot if someone else has a better hand?
Not only must poker players know how to disguise their emotions, they must know how to display emotions that are opposite to what they are actually feeling. If they have a great hand, they are allowed to stare glumly into space. They are also allowed to smile when they have an awful hand. This kind of deception is not considered cheating.
Poker players may not always win, but at least they can be winning actors.

What is pot-limit omaha poker?
In Omaha, you get four cards instead of the two in Texas Hold'em, but you have to use exactly two of those four along with three of the community cards. The betting rounds are the same as in Texas Hold'em, but the best starting hands in Texas Hold'em - such as pocket kings or pocket aces - are not as strong a favorite in Omaha.

- Every player on the table is dealt with 4 hole cards, faced down. After the pre-flop betting round, 3 community cards are dealt face up on the table which is called ‘the Flop’. The final betting round is the last betting round called ‘the River’ where the 5th card of the community cards is put up on the board. - One of the main differences of Hold’em to Omaha poker is the number of hole cards, Omaha poker is played with 4 hole cards instead of 2 hole cards as in Hold’em. In Omaha poker, the highest hand wins but players must use two cards out of hole 4 cards they are dealt to form the best 5 card combination.
HOW PLO GAME WORKS:
- The only other thing you need to know regarding Omaha Rules before you start playing is that in PLO you can’t always just shove “all in”.
- The “Pot” in “Pot Limit Omaha” refers to the maximum bet or raise you can make when the action is on you.
- The rest of the game is the same as NO LIMIT HOLD’EM POKER.
- The size of the pot, which is defined as the total of the active pot, plus all bets on the table, plus the amount the active player must first call before raising.

How does the Game work?
The dealer deals everyone with two cards starting with the player on his left and ending on him/her.
The player on the dealer’s left is the first player to act and they have a choice of:
this is No-Limit Hold’em so they can bet ANY amount they want
Giving up the hand and all the chips they’ve already committed to the pot
- From there the dealer puts three cards face-up on the board. These are community cards that anyone can use. This is called the flop.
- Once again everyone still in the hand gets a chance to bet and consequently raise or fold.
- The dealer puts the fourth card on the table that anyone can use. This is called the turn.
- Again, everyone gets the chance to bet/check/raise/fold.
- The dealer puts the fifth card on the board that anyone can use. This is called the river.
- For the final time, everyone gets a chance to bet/check/raise/fold.
- Odds of winning vary by the number of players, and gameplay becomes more challenging as more players are added.
