SHOPPING AND EATING
The Venetian Macao is one of the biggest casinos in the world. Forget those venues in Vegas and Atlantic City, the Venetian Macao has 550,000 square meters of dedicated gaming space. That means more than 500 gaming tables featuring everything from poker to fan-tan and 2,000 slot machines—known locally as hungry tigers. Casinos in Macau have, since they dethroned Las Vegas in 2006, made more money than those in any other city in the world. Last year, Macau’s 40 casinos made more than 88 percent of their $33.2.
– There are over 350 brand name retail stores at the Grand Canal Shoppes taking up 1.6 million square feet of retail space
– The Venetian offers over 30 restaurants with cuisines from around the world. Their world-class catering facilities are capable of catering a 5-course banquet for over 10,000 guests!
– The casino has 51 gondolas with serenading gondoliers that ply the waters of the Veneitan’s three indoor canals and outdoor lagoon
ACCOMMODATIONS
With 3,000 rooms available, each suite is split-level and at least 750 square feet or larger (70 square meters). Larger units approach 2,000 square feet in size and feature gold leaf and Italian marble in the bathrooms. No information was available on the Presidential and luxury suites but one can only assume them to be quite lavish 🙂
